Working Copy Privacy Policy

Working Copy is designed to keep your information private. It does this by collecting very little information and using as few third party services as possible.

The app collects usage data to determine the popularity of features and to detect user interactions causing confusion. This is done without recording personal information and without any details from your repositories or source code. We remember that you started cloning a repository and whether it succeeded or failed without remembering repository URLs or errors.

Usage data is recorded using TelemetryDeck and can be disabled with the Analytics switch in app settings.

The WorkingCopyApp.com website will log requests to the server, the document requested and the IP address excluding the last number.

The Working Copy app asks for your name and email as needed by Git commits, but this is not transmitted to Working Copy servers only to Git remotes that you use with the app.

Avatar images in Working Copy are requested from Gravatar.com that have their own privacy policy. You can configure Working Copy to not use Gravatar.com. The app also communicates with Git remotes and you should consult their privacy policies for details.

These universal links and the page presenting them have been created to avoid leaking data. Information is passed in the fragment part of the URL, that is never seen by Working Copy web servers as it never leaves the browser. Universal Links are entirely private unless you explicitly share them.
